My husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice of the Sharp Aquos. The picture is great, sound is decent and we love it! I would highly recommend this TV and the price cannot be beat (we purchased through 6Ave Electronics thru Amazon)
Satisfied Viewing November 29, 2007 R. McRae (Saugus, CA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Though considered inferior to 1080 46" models, being only a 720, after viewing this gem's picture quality in a major department store I was sold. Now becoming harder to find I acted timely and am now enjoying HD programming in total satisfaction. Some standard channels will take a little adjusting, but the picture quality seems to be constantly improving day-after-day. And according to test results in recent issues of Consumer Reports, there isn't much difference in 720 and 1080 picture quality amongst the better brands under 50"s.
You'll see the HD superiority after subscribing to it from your cable or satellite provider. And even without an upgrade in DVD players, your movies will still look noticeably sharper. A real bargain purchase.
Sharp D43U October 9, 2007 princeofprop (atlanta) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have the d43u lcd by sharp. This is a bangin flat screen. It is suppose to be entry level, however, I couldn't tell. The picture is great out of box and better calibrated. Standard definition is great as well.
AWSEOME on Digital Channels November 27, 2009 Nicholas J. Chapman This TV is hands down the best tv you will ever own.
Its very clear on a digital channel like 8.1 not 8 "8.1" and so on. You can only appreciate this tv to the fullest extent when it is on a true digital channel.
"Digital HD channels" is even more amazing than just digital it looks like you can reach your hand into the TV. This is a high end tv and you will not appreciate it if you can not get either digital ANTENNA tv Channels which is more clear than your satelite or some digital channels through your cable network you will learn this as the tv won't find them all but some you just start "typing in and save" and you will love it.
remote lights up
you can hook your computer to this tv and get free movies from internet and look at life size wheels and car parts on Ebay

question..... December 11, 2007 B. Yoder (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm noticing while brighter background colors are displayed, and the subject is darker I'm receiving faint gray horizontal lines on the brighter background. It doesn't matter what device the image is coming from, upconvert dvd player, cable reciever, or xbox 360. Its less noticeable on the HD cable signals. Has anyone else discovered this or is this just an isolated case?
